R&C x LAP x TEVEO

A Saturday evening, a 5k through Munich, three pace groups and more than 200 sign-ups. Our Sundowner Run with TEVEO and LAP Coffee brought a lot of new faces.

With TEVEO

The short version

On Saturday 22 August we hosted the Munich edition of the TEVEO Global Sundowner Run. Start and finish at LAP Coffee on Pariser Straße in Haidhausen, a 5k through the city in three pace groups, and drinks and music afterwards.

More than 200 people signed up, and a lot of them had never run with us before. That was our favourite part.

One evening, one very long group photo.

The run

We met from 18:30 and started at 19:00, in three groups at 5:00, 5:45 and 6:30 per kilometre. Fast enough to feel like a run, slow enough to talk to the person next to you, which was the point of the whole evening.

The first 100 people to arrive got a goodie bag from TEVEO. Judging by the photos, a lot of Run Club shirts went on straight away, so for once half of the group was dressed alike.

Leaving LAP Coffee. The pavement in Haidhausen was not built for this many runners.

Not everyone had two legs. Fastest finisher of the evening, probably.

After the run

Back at LAP there were cold drinks, music and more TEVEO surprises. A 5k takes half an hour. The chatting afterwards always takes a lot longer :)

Thank you

To TEVEO for bringing the Global Sundowner Run to Munich with us, and to LAP Coffee for hosting and for the drinks. And to everyone who came for the first time: you are very welcome to come back.

Come back any week

We run every week: an easy social run on Sunday with brunch at Convivio afterwards, and intervals on Wednesday evening. You do not need to be fast and you do not need to know anyone. Have a look at the schedule and just come along.

Reading about running is good. Running with people is better.
